Eclipse gave our Media Club the opportunity to create in a way that many young people don’t often get the chance to experience. Led by the advisor Jameel Patrick, who also serves as the school's intervention specialist, the album is built around the concept of a solar eclipse and the idea that darkness can cover the light,but only temporarily. Like an eclipse, the album begins in darkness and gradually moves toward the light. By the end, the music shifts into a period of reflection—similar to the way people pause, look up, and take in the moment during a solar eclipse. The songs were inspired by experiences within our Media Club, along with ideas we simply thought would be fun to turn into music. Together, they tell a story of darkness, creativity, growth, light, and reflection. Eclipse is more than an album. It’s a chance for our students to create something of their own and see just how far an idea can go
